Playboi Carti was gearing up to bring his "Antagonist" tour to North America when he suddenly pulled the plug a week before opening night.

According to reports, the rapper was set to perform alongside his Opium Collective buddies including Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, and Ken Carson when Playboi Carti suddenly announced that he would be postponing the tour and rescheduling it to 2024.

Playboi Carti will now be kicking off the "Antagonist" tour in Europe in November before eventually heading back to North America.

As of this writing, the rapper did not give any reason behind the sudden postponement of the highly anticipated tour, however, fans were dismayed to hear the news of the postponement.

"Insane, I was gonna go see him on tour and now I can't," a fan wrote.

"It's over," another wrote.

Meanwhile, some fans are still hopeful that Playboi Carti might perform new music in the tour once he returns onstage.

"This is to give music time to marinate," a fan suggested.

"Hope his album is out by these new dates."

Playboi Carti Returns After February Arrest

Playboi Carti's upcoming show would have been the rapper's first time returning to the spotlight after being arrested and charged for choking his pregnant girlfriend earlier this year.

According to reports, the rapper allegedly assaulted and choked his pregnant girlfriend during an argument, which resulted in bruises and injuries on her neck, chest, and other areas of her body.

Playboi Carti's legal representation denied all the accusations: "Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation."

Playboi Carti Teases Fans with New Music

Before the sudden postponement of the tour, the rapper had also put up teasers for an upcoming project on his website before promptly taking it down.

Reports say that fans have been waiting for the rapper to release music, which is why they were so shocked when a new logo with the word "Music" was included on his website. On top of that, a shop page was added.

However, their hopes were dashed when it was suddenly gone from the website as if nothing ever happened.

No one knows what is really going on with Playboi Carti, his rumored upcoming release, as well as the "Antagonist" tour. Fans will just have to wait for more updates.
