Beyoncé was busy when she celebrated her 42nd birthday earlier this month as she was performing in front of thousands of fans at the "Renaissance Tour."
More recently, it seems like the global superstar had some time off as she finally had a belated birthday with her husband, Jay-Z, and their children, as well as close family members.
According to a news outlet, the famous family checked-in at several villas in Mermaid Bay, located within the luxurious private island resort, The Brando, in French Polynesia.

Insiders told the outlet that Beyoncé, her family members, as well as some crew arrived last Tuesday and spent a few days until they checked out on Friday.
It was noted that the luxurious villa where the family stayed at costs around $20,000 per night, which means it's possible that the singer spent over a hundred grand for the expensive birthday trip.
Beyoncé Celebrates Birthday at a Private Island
The family was complete at the beach getaway including Jay-Z, their three children Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir.
The family villa include four bedrooms, a private deck, a full kitchen, a living room, an outdoor dining space, and a private pool. Since it's a luxurious resort, they also had a butler. (via Page Six)
According to the resort's official website, the other 10 villas where the crew possibly stayed at has at least three bedrooms and each has a swimming pool.

In other accommodations, the resort also has a few restaurants, a spa, and a wellness center.
It's only fitting for Beyoncé to celebrate her birthday in an expensive manner as her net worth as of 2023 is estimated to be around $500 million, while her husband is worth a whopping $2 billion.
Beyoncé's 42nd Birthday at 'Renaissance Tour'
Earlier this week, Beyoncé gave fans behind-the-scenes photos of her birthday celebration while she was on tour.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the singer shared several photos of herself backstage. The first photo shows the musician being kissed by her parents.
Another image featured the "Alien Superstar" hitmaker sitting on a kitchen counter while hugging her husband as big letter balloons which spelled "HAPPY BDAY" could be seen in the background.
Her cake was also inspired by her tour as it was a big disco ball surrounded by smaller ones and silver candles.
