Brian "Head" Welch revealed Korn's plans to release new music soon.

Korn fans will finally receive something from the band again nearly two years after they were last offered with the last studio album, "Requiem". At that time, frontman Jonathan Davis had already hinted at its follow-up album, and Welch recently shared an update after a long wait.

Korn's New Music Release Confirmed

In his recent interview on Joe Rogan's "The Joe Kingdom Perspective,"  Welch said Korn's new music will be released next year, and it will be the band's 15th record.

Aside from the new material, Korn will also mark the band's 30th anniversary since it debuted in 1994 through a self-titled album.

"Yeah, new music coming out next year. I don't know, we're just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing," he shared. "It's just crazy how the lord just restored everything. A couple of members are on break too, and I took... or, one's out of the band, but one's on break."

Welch also shared how no one ever knows what happens next, like how he was not anywhere for a decade before he came back for good. For what it's worth, the guitarist rejoined the band after not performing with his bandmates for eight years.

While waiting, fans can enjoy Korn's upcoming collaboration with Adidas and its scheduled performance at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento on October 7.

Brian Welch Is Recovering From Addiction

Korn will celebrate the band's debut anniversary in 2024, and Welch will also take his time to mark his sobriety after deciding to ditch alcohol and drugs.

The musician, who became a born-again Christian, credited God for restoring everything for him and Korn.

In March, he admitted in front of the churchgoers at Legal Church's presentation that he took methamphetamine for 700 days before having a spiritual change.

"I never said I was sober. I am high on the most high," he told Rev. Tommy Miller. "He's poured his love into my heart by the Holy Spirit. I traded in my ashes for beauty. I traded in my addictions for a relationship, for love."

He added that he received his calling after God told him to go back to Korn in 2013. If ever one falls into addiction again, he advised them to just get back up and not beat themselves because he believes everyone can recover again through faith.
