It seems like Taylor Swift is helping her rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce financially because it was reported that the NFL star's merch sales spiked amid their romance rumors.
Thanks to Swift's surprise appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs' game over the weekend, the athlete's jersey, which has the number 87, is said to be selling out fast.
According to a news outlet, the league's official e-commerce partner, Fanatics, there was a boost on the NFL shop for Kelce's jerseys and it was 400% to be exact.

"Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com," the company told the outlet.
It's unclear which group of people decided to buy merch from the shop, but it appears that Swifties were the ones responsible for the spike as most of them ship the mega superstar with the NFL athlete.
Over the weekend, Taylor Swift attended the game and she was seated beside Travis Kelce's mother, Donna.
They were also spotted leaving the venue together, but it was unclear where they were headed at the time.
Travis Kelce Using Taylor Swift As A PR Move?
Although it was confirmed by Kelce's brother that the romance between the athlete and the singer was "100 percent true," a PR specialist believes otherwise. "I don't think Taylor and Travis are in a relationship currently... But should their reported romance be true, he will likely snag some of Swift's most devoted followers."
Ryan McCormick, the co-founder of Goldman McCormick Public Relations spoke with The Mirror to explain more about the said publicity stunt.
The expert noted that Kelce initially have lesser followers than Swift herself as she has over 94 million followers, but the athlete's Twitter profile saw a 58.8% boost over the past month.

In addition, fans also looked into his personal life, especially when he appeared on a reality TV show titled "Catching Kelce."
