Miley Cyrus Bio 

Destiny Hope Cyrus (professionaly known as Miley Cyrus) was born on November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee. Miley's parents are country musician Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. Billy gave their daughter the nickname Smiley (which has been shortened to Miley), as the then future singer/actress has always had a happy demeanor. 

How Miley Cyrus Began Her Acting and Music Careers

Miley started to pursue her acting career in 2001 when she saw a Mama Mia! production show. Not too long afterwards, she debuted in television with a minor role in her father, Billy Ray's documentary in 2003, as per All Music. In 2005, Cyrus landed the title role of Hannah Montana in a Disney channel TV series. Miley portrayed Hannah Montana as a pop star in the series, and Miley's real-life father, Billy Cyrus, played the role of her father and manager, Robbie Stewart.

Miley Cyrus Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades 

The first soundtrack of "Hannah Montana" was released in October 2006, and reached the top of Billboard 200 albums chart. The soundtrack progressed into selling more than three million copies globally. On March 2009, 16-year old Miley was the youngest artist to have had four albums to have topped the charts. The lead soundtrack theme song from "Hannah Montana," "The Climb," was Miley's first multi-platinum hit song. 

In 2008, Miley's album as a solo artist, "Breakout," was a chart topper at the Billboard 200 albums chart. During the same year, Miley's contribution in the production of the animated film, "Bolt," led her to acquire a Golden Globe nomination. Miley's follow-up music project, an EP called, "The Time of Our Lives" was released in August 2009. The lead single off that album was "Party in the USA". The song reached and stayed within the Billboard top ten for 16 weeks. 

Miley Cyrus' New Treat for Fans in Time for Thanksgiving Birthday 

Coincidentally, just in time for Miley's thanksgiving birthday for 2023, the singer/actress held new private performances, launching the first-time live performance of her number one hit song for 2023, "Flowers." The private performance session took place in  the Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont Hotel on Tuesday evening, November 21, as per Billboard. During the invite-only private session, Miley gave a teaser for her new song, as well. The pop singer sang the lyrics as she teased the new song," "Don't know if it's ever gonna stop/ I wouldn't mind if it don't/ Don't leave me high/ Don't let me down/ 'Cause I want you more."
