Ariana Grande has been hinting that she is recording new music for the last month, and her newest Instagram Story seems to confirm it.

The "Positions" singer surprised and teased fans by sharing a picture of a mug that reads "Glinda the Good Witch," which is a nod to her role in the upcoming film adaptation of the "Wicked" musical.

However, what caught everyone's attention was not the mug, but rather the place where the mug was conveniently placed-it was perching right next to a set of controls that is commonly seen in recording studios.

.

The picture was met with positive reactions from fans, who have been waiting and begging for new music from Grande.

"Mother is back," one wrote.

"We all cheered."

"Oh, we want it so bad," another added.

"ARIANATORS WE WON SHE'S BACK I CRYING TEARS OF JOY."

Ariana Grande Seemingly Confirms Musical Comeback

The last time Grande released any music was back in October 2020, with her sixth studio album, "Positions," which yielded three singles, the title track "Positions," "34+35," and "POV."

Since then, though, she has worked on her acting career. She filmed "Wicked" alongside Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, and her boyfriend Ethan Slater.

According to reports, Grande has returned to the recording studio while filming for "Wicked" was paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

"Her priority has been Glinda [her character in 'Wicked'] for the past two years, and still is, as they haven't finished the film," an insider revealed about the prolonged pause from music.

"She works quickly and drops [in] instinctively whenever she feels ready... so who knows?"

It seems like the singer is finally back because she has all the time to record her new album since the filming for "Wicked" is finally over.

Ariana Grande Recruits Max Martin

There are reports that say Grande has recruited Max Martin once again to produce some songs or even maybe the entire album; the pair worked on several chart-topping hits like "Break Up With Your Girlfriend I'm Bored," "God is a Woman," and more.

Meanwhile, the singer is enjoying her life in New York, with Slater. The couple were spotted wining and dining all over the city for the past couple of months.

The relationship comes shortly after their respective divorces, which ensured a myriad of cheating allegations online.

"Ethan informed his friends and soon-to-be ex-wife that he's living with Ariana full-time in New York. They're really happy and really good for each other. All of her friends love him," a source said about Grande's new relationship.
