In the modern age, people have been using different forms of communication like messages, chat, DMs, and such, and it was all made possible thanks to the gadgets that have been constantly popping out.

Having mobile phones made it easy for everyone to reach out to other people compared to the inventions made decades ago.

However, despite these type of gadgets being accessible to the public, Dolly Parton refuses to use it as she loves a good old fax machine.

The country music legend recently appeared in an episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show" where she spoke with the host and explained why she's not in favor of text messaging, but rather sends faxes to other people to get her message across.

Dolly Parton is Not High-Tech

During the conversation, Parton said: "I'm a low-tech girl in a high-tech world." She later clarified that she surrounds herself with people who are knowledgable with modern technology.

Another reason why she doesn't want to use phones as means of communication is because she didn't want to answer back.

"I don't want to talk to everybody that wants to talk to me. I don't text because I don't want to have to answer. If someone calls me, I'll answer if I want to talk to them, or I'll call them back when I can," she explained. (via Billboard)

Although the musician said there's a possibility for her to learn because she's "not a stupid person" and could learn it if she wanted to, she'd rather have her fax machine and share her creative stuff with her crew.

"I've got the best crew in the world and I surround myself with great people ... I just don't have time to just sit with my face in a phone all day," she added.

Dolly Parton Thoughts 'Artificial Intelligence'

Regarding the modernization in the music industry, AI is very rampant these days and it appears that Dolly Parton doesn't want to be involved in such gimmick.

The singer spoke at a press conference where she shared her thoughts on artificial intelligence because people have been using it lately, especially with holograms like ABBA's concerts.

The "Jolene" hitmaker said she didn't want to be involved with it because if ever she passes away in the future, she doesn't want to leave her soul on earth.
