In fact, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's commitment to his team ahead of their next games caused his absence at Swift's birthday celebration - though they already celebrated in the wee hours of December 13.

By next year, Swift and Kelce will become busier, leading to fears that they might not be able to make their relationship work. Still, the unnamed insider clarified that the pair could still make it to the end.
"They definitely seem committed to each other but Taylor always seems committed to whoever she's dating," the insider told Life & Style (via OK! Magazine). "This time could be different, though. She lights up every time she sees Travis. She may finally have found 'the one.'"
The report came after another unnamed Life & Style source claimed the pair's relationship received backlash from Kelce's family members as they think the singer is not the right one for him.
For instance, Donna Kelce reportedly did not look thrilled when asked about his son's romance with Swift. However, it is worth noting that she clarified her reaction as she did not want to sound too enthusiastic about Travis' new relationship.
On the other hand, Jason Kelce said he has fears over his brother's safety because of Swift's extreme level of stardom.
"There are fears that they won't survive the separation," the source went on.

The rumors emerged after Kelce failed to join Swift's birthday bash in New York City.
According to different media outlets, the athlete stayed in his hometown due to mandatory practice to prepare for the team's game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, December 17. People also clarified that the couple knew about their commitments to their careers.
"He is a gentleman," an insider said of Kelce. "He is very focused on his career. He has a great relationship with his family. He has an amazing energy and approach to life. It all feels very special."
