Dolly Parton is one of the most revered women in all of Hollywood; getting to meet her might be one of the most common wishes of many.

Well, Dolly, the ever-giving and generous woman she is, made a dying man's wish come true.

Dying Man's Wish Is To Meet Dolly Parton

According to KSLTV, Dolly Parton gave a dying man the biggest Christmas gift she could ever give.

LeGrand Gold, a Utah native who was born in Tennessee, has been battling colon cancer for the past two years. When he visited the doctor three weeks ago, he was faced with a harrowing piece of news.

"The scans showed the cancer spreading and getting outside of my liver, and so they said the chemo is not working anymore, the radiation is not working anymore," Gold told the outlet. "They just sent me home and said be with your family."

As the man faced his reality, he listed down 10 bucket list wishes he hoped to accomplish before his demise.

"One of them was 'meet Dolly Parton,'" he shared. "I thought, 'Well, it's never going to happen.'"

"Well, I'm just happy to know I have a fan that devoted," Parton said over the phone to a stunned Gold. "Hey LG, it's Dolly B. I've heard you've been a fan of mine for many years, and I just wanted to thank you for that."

Parton even told the man that she always had one thing in mind when she was making music - make people happy.

"Just know that I will always love you," Parton said before breaking out into an unspecified song."She sang me a song, and put my name in the song. I feel like I'm immortal now."

According to Gold, receiving a call from his idol made him "feel good" and was "really cool."

Although Gold has more things to check off his bucket list, he admitted that he does not know if he could still achieve it, but surely, he thought that meeting Dolly Parton wouldn't actually happen - let alone, being sang to on the phone.
