Now, as she reflects on 2023, she seems to finally address the elephant in the room.

In an Instagram story, Ariana Grande wrote a lengthy realization, pondering what had happened in 2023. While she is mostly thankful, a certain paragraph piqued the interest of those who are curious about the certain topic. (via Billboard)

She described the year to be "one of the most transformative, most challenging, and yet happiest and most special years of my life, saying that "there were so many beautiful and yet polarized feelings."

However, this paragraph seemed to address her current feelings about the scrutiny she received from the people and her fans alike.

"I've never felt more at the mercy of and in acceptance of what life was screaming to teach me," she pointed out. "I have never felt more pride or joy or love while simultaneously feeling so deeply misunderstood by people who don't know me, who piece whispers together and make what they want out of me and their assumptions of my life."

Although Grande has not specified which she was referring to, the heaping gossip this year about her relationship with Ethan Slater seemed to be the most apt answer.

Earlier this year, shortly after divorcing her ex-husband, Dalton Gomez, several publications revealed that she and Slater had been dating prior to the end of their marriages.

Very recently, Ariana Grande has been spotted with Ethan Slater while they are on Broadway. A People Magazine source said that the relationship is "serious," despite others claiming that it's just a spur-of-the-moment dating decision.

"Ariana is serious with Ethan," the insider spilled. "She loves being with him."
