Blake Shelton did not impress the masses on New Year's Eve.

The New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash tapped Shelton as one of the headliners to welcome the new year with jaw-dropping performances. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson and more musicians joined the list.

The organizers promoted the show as a live one, but fans found out the truth about it.

Why Fans Were Disappointed of Blake Shelton's New Year's Eve Live Performance?

In the "live" performance, the 47-year-old singer performed some of his hit tracks like "Hell Right" and "Hillbilly Bone" alongside Trace Adkins. However, it turned out that the show was not live at all.

Fans noticed that the "live show" aired on CBS was pre-recorded ahead of New Year's Eve and was only recorded in front of a live audience. Thus, Shelton was able to appear at the Winstar Casino and Resort in Thuckerville, Okla.

One asked, "So, @CBS just saw promo about New Year's Eve celebration in Nashville live. List of celebs including Blake Shelton but he is performing in Oklahoma tonight. So will you be going live to his concert or are some segments pre recorded ? #NewYear2024."

"Is Blake in Nashville or Winstar Casino tonight for a concert?," another added.

The setlist also received criticisms, with one of the reviews read, "Big fan of Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins. Their duet "Hell Right" however, is one of the dumbest songs I've ever heard."
