• Kid Rock Releases Conservative 'First Kiss' Vid [WATCH]

Kid Rock's newest music video is here, and it certainly falls on the conservative side of his multimedia endeavors. "First Kiss" is a New-Age, Mellencamp, country-tinged, pop song that features many of the same tropes that landed KR an international No. 1 with 2008's ""All Summer Long." The video is about as harmless as all of that sounds. An odd opening in which a grown-a-- woman hops out of a school bus pretending to be a kid is the only "Wait, what?" moment, followed by generic, "small-town" scenes filling up the bulk of the clip. Here is a sampling of the lyrics, which Kid seems to have copied and pasted from the "Billboard" Country chart:
  • Kid Rock Drops 'First Kiss' Cover Art, Foreigner to Open During Summer Tour [TRACKLIST]

Kid Rock's 10th studio album, "First Kiss," is due in February with a summer tour set to follow. Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson recently said the group will hit the road with the Detroit artist as the support act. Rock also released the cover art and tracklist for the album as well, Ultimate Classic Rock noted. Pilson echoed Rock's recent sentiments that live shows are the future of the music business. "The future is a lot of touring," he said. "We're gonna go out with Kid Rock this summer, which will be really interesting. I think that's going to expose us to a different audience that I think is gonna be shocked at how much they enjoy us — which I always love doing. That's the best kind of tour to do." Foreigner is currently promoting a new album, "The Best of Foreigner 4 & More," which is a mix of classic tunes and live versions.
  • Kid Rock Outlines Plans for Album 'First Kiss'; Emphasis Will Still Be on Live Performance

Kid Rock is gearing up for the release of his next album "First Kiss," due out Feb. 24. The rocker has opened the record up for pre-orders on his website. Fans who pre-order the album will also be sent the title track instantly ahead of the song's video release Jan. 6. Rock spoke with The Pulse of Radio about how live shows are keeping the industry alive, Blabbermouth notes. "At this point it's about putting people in seats, you know," he said. "It's about live. We've seen this. The days of making money selling records like we were used to when it first came out are not there — and I'm not necessarily upset about that. To me, live is everything, always has been." The artist will share lyrics from the album on his website every Monday leading up to its release. He is also asking fans to share photos on Twitter and Instagram of their first kiss of the New Year with the hashtag #KidRockFirstKiss. Some of the photos will be used for a video preview of the song, but all of them will be displayed on Rock's website Jan. 1.

The entertainer produced a majority of "First Kiss" himself following his last U.S. tour in 2013. Reps for Kid Rock promised that details on a summer tour would be announced soon. In the meantime, fans can catch the rocker on his Chillin' the Most Cruise in March.
