• Amy Adams Interviewed on Red Carpet by Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie After 'Today' Canceled Appearance

A few weeks ago, Amy Adams made news because her scheduled interview with "The Today Show" was abruptly canceled on the spot as the actress waited in the green room. She was scheduled to promote her latest film, "Big Eyes," on the morning show, and when she did not want to discuss the Sony hacking scandal, then producers informed her that her interview was not going to happen after all. Imagine how awkward it must have been on the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards when Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer had to interview Adams! Whatever bad blood may have existed was not present when the three chatted. In fact, it all felt friendly, leading us to think that amends must have been made behind the scenes after the scandal grabbed headlines. Harvey Weinstein, the producer of "Big Eyes," was pushing hard for the network to apologize to Adams, and it looks like it must have happened. NBC had wanted the actress to comment on the leaked Sony emails, the one in particular that divulged that she and Jennifer Lawrence had earned significantly less than their male co-stars in "American Hustle." Adams did not want to be part of that dialogue and also mentioned that Bradley Cooper had just done an interview with "Today" and was not asked about Sony, so she felt that it should be fine for her not to be grilled as well. Adams later admitted that she really did not understand what had happened or why on earth her interview had been canceled.
  • Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Had Civil Service in States Before French Wedding

Is it really surprising to learn that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were actually legally married long before they formally swapped vows last August in France? The actress recently decided to come clean and admit that she and Pitt called a justice of the peace and signed on the dotted lines to make their 10-year union a legally binding situation before they even considered planning a French celebration. According to a source at "Us Weekly," as far back as last March Jolie was telling one of its reporters that she was already married and now it sounds like she may have been telling the truth even then. None of this is really surprising because, according to French law, in order to marry legally in that country you need to be a permanent, full-time resident of whatever part of the country you are choosing to marry in. While Jolie and Pitt have fabulous property in France, their main home is in the U.S., so they needed to be legally married here first in order to even have a French wedding. What is interesting is how for years Jolie really downplayed the importance of another marriage and, when it came time to go ahead and marry Pitt, she made it sound like she was doing it for the kids. But if they really were married for months before their August ceremony, then maybe it really was more important to Jolie and Pitt than they originally let on. It is interesting because this is one of those A-list couples that proves that if a celebrity really wants to keep things private, they can. There are always ways to get around the paparazzi in order to have normal life events — even for people like Jolie and Pitt!
  • Jennifer Aniston Dishes on 'Challenging Companionship' in 'In Style'

Is there anywhere that Jennifer Aniston has not been in the last several months? It seems like she has done every talk show and covered just about every magazine while promoting "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Cake," doesn't it? "In Style" magazine must have realized that it was kind of dropping the ball and decided to snatch up the hottest actress around for its February 2015 cover. Since Aniston has been opening up more than ever in ways that even her fans probably never expected her to do, she has been tackling some of the tougher topics head-on. Rather than run from things, a more centered Aniston has come off as being open and, in this latest interview, she dishes on changing her dating style over the years. "I'm a late bloomer. I mean, it's no secret: I've had some challenging companionship. I think hitting a wall with that really kind of [helped me grow]. I found a great therapist. Not to sound too 'woo woo,' but I think the self-love piece was really important. And spending a lot of time alone. Having time to ask myself why there was such toxicity in my immediate space at times. Why would I attract that instead of light?" explains Aniston.
  • Petition Started Because Target Chose White Model to Promote 'Annie'

Quvenzhané Wallis has become the most sought-after child actress thanks to her leading role as the first black "Annie" in a remake of the legendary musical and hit film. Wallis's performance has earned her a Golden Globe nomination, not to mention a nice, fat paycheck. Target has attached itself to this successful film and has launched a limited Annie clothing collection for young girls. Some see it as a problem that the lead girl in the marketing campaign is a young, white model. A petition has been started on change.org, requesting that the retailer change its ads and then issue Wallis an apology. The actress attended Target's launch party wearing items from the new "Annie" collection to promote it, but then was replaced at the last minute and her fans have taken offense. The petition reads, in part: "Your recent Annie ads and in-store displays depicts [sic] a misleading depiction of the movie as it shows a Caucasian young lady [as] opposed to the star of the film- Quvenzhané Wallis. Though the model is quite professional, she does not speak to the relevance of the movie or main character. When the original Annie came out, everything was about Aileen Quinn or a character/person that emulated her...why not now Target? If you can show it online, show it in ALL of your stores with multiple signage with different girls not one! "Although Annie is a fictitious character, there has been a major uproar from protesters stating that they would not support the movie due to the star being African American. Is [this] the reason why Target maliciously hid Quvenzhané Wallis or refused to use an African American girl to depict Annie in their ads?"
  • Jennifer Aniston Wraps Up a Great Year, Could Care Less About Paparazzi

Jennifer Aniston might easily be wrapping up the most satisfying year of her career. Sure, she has made no apologies for loving all those years she spent playing Rachel Green on "Friends," but this year has been different. She took a risk by playing a stripped-down, chronic pain sufferer in the indie film "Cake," and the critical acclaim has come. She has already been nominated for an SAG and a Golden Globe for that performance, and many are anticipating an Oscar nod as well. While she cares about all the award buzz enough to have hired someone to guide her through it, she could care less about the paparazzi. Aniston recently did an interview with Yahoo Beauty's Bobbi Brown and explained how, when it comes to dealing with photographers chasing her, she now chooses not to give it much thought at all. "The truth is you just go, 'If they get a picture, that picture comes and goes, so who cares?' Then you have 30 mean people who sit at their computers and spend their entire day picking apart and insulting celebrities about how ugly they are just so they can feel better — I guess — about themselves. I don't understand it," said Aniston.
  • Being Called 'Washed-Up' Lit a Fire Under Reese Witherspoon to Try New Things

Everything good that is happening in Reese Witherspoon's life right now is because the actress wasn't afraid to embrace change. If you think back about eight years, she seemed to have it all -- a marriage to Ryan Phillipe, two great kids and a new Oscar to put on the mantle -- and then it all came crashing down around her. Witherspoon quickly understood that in order to survive the crisis in her personal life, she would need to embrace change. While she moved on from her marriage with Phillipe and began building a life with Jim Toth, her career seemed to stall out.
  • Jennifer Aniston Has Hired Lisa Taback to Spearhead Her Oscar Push

We have been talking a lot about Jennifer Aniston's role in the much-anticipated Indie flick, "Cake." When it first premiered last September, there was seemingly bizarre buzz attached to it -- in that insiders were really loving her performance enough to say that she might actually be in award contention. That caused the studio to bump up the release date to make sure that Aniston could be on the ballot this award season. The buzz became real last week when Aniston was nominated for both a Golden Globe and a SAG, but what started off as a shot in the dark has turned into a focused campaign to win with her hiring a top notch strategist, Lisa Taback.
