• Shayne Lamas's Stepmother Shawna Craig Is Also Her Surrogate

    This time last year Shayne Lamas and Nik Richie were recovering from the biggest loss of their lives. Lamas had miscarried their son and almost lost her life in the process. Not long before this the couple had appeared on VH1's "Couples Therapy" to work through some tough communication issues in their marriage. After losing the baby the deck seemed stacked against them, but instead of falling apart Lamas and Richie actually pulled together. Last September, they announced that they were expecting a child via a surrogate, but they left her identity undisclosed until now. In a new interview with "Closer," Lamas is now confirming that her stepmother Shawna Craig is carrying her son, who is due in July.

    We recently told you that Scott Disick is looking for the perfect addiction specialist to try and help him to keep his demons in check once and for all. We are also hearing that while he is figuring out his best plan of attack, the Kardashian family is not taking any chances by doing anything that would enable him to fall off a sober path. Instead, it seems Kourtney Kardashian has enlisted her whole family's help in keeping Disick together. According to a report by Radar Online, Disick has proven over and over that if left to his own devices, he will blow it. So, he basically has a baby sitter with him at all times. The family thinks the stress of losing both parents, followed by the recent birth of a third child, is enough to send Disick spiraling easily out of control, so they simply are not leaving him alone. Sources say he always has a Kardashian family member or two with him, making it difficult to duck out and party. The thing is, eventually the reality star will have to be trusted to handle things on his own without resorting to a bender. While his track record for keeping it together is pretty lousy, realizing that he always has a baby sitter is probably making Disick even more anxious to escape the family, don't you think? If he needs to be under a microscope constantly, then maybe Kardashian needs to accept that her man may not want to clean up his act badly enough to actually accomplish it.

  • Bodies, Debris Recovered from AirAsia Flight 8501 Crash Site

    Families of the 162 passengers aboard AirAsia Flight 8501 are grieving this morning, as it has been confirmed that the wreckage has been found in the ocean about 6 miles from the Airbus's last-known location. About halfway into the two-hour flight, the crew encountered extremely bad weather early Sunday morning, Dec. 28, and when Capt. Iriyanto requested permission to climb to a higher altitude, he was denied. Two minutes later, the controller told him that it was safe to proceed to 38,000 feet, but got no response. Loved ones held out hope for more than two days, only to have the worst confirmed early this morning, Dec. 30. AirAsia group CEO Tony Fernandes has attempted to handle this tragedy with great care and has been nothing but supportive and empathetic toward the families who were waiting for official word. Today, Fernandes tweeted, "My heart is filled with sadness for all the families involved in QZ 8501. On behalf of AirAsia my condolences to all. Words cannot express how sorry I am." He has since flown back to Surabaya to be with the grieving families. He also has chartered a flight to take them out to the airspace over the Java Sea to say their final goodbyes to loved ones in the area where they lost their lives.

Melissa did step out on Friday to attend the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards in Vegas and it was kind of hard to ignore the fact that she looks different.
