In The Aug 19, 2015 EDTJay Electronica Crowns Himself "God of Hip-Hop," Better Than Drake & J. Cole
We thought Meek Mill proved that it wasn't a good idea to diss Drake, but apparently the reclusive New Orleans emcee Jay Electronica didn't get the memo. During a show at club XOYO in London, Electronica's current residence, he told the crowd that the "6 god" can't compare to "the god of hip-hop," a title which he's given himself. He also called out J. Cole, saying his Roc Nation labelmate can't spit bars like he does.Read more »

In The Dec 18, 2014 EDTDJ Premier, Royce Da 5' 9" Share 'PRhyme Time' Music Vid [WATCH]
Hip-hop duo PRhyme have shared the music video for their new single "PRhyme Time," which you can check out below. The video features footage of Royce da 5' 9" and DJ Premier working in the studio, filmed on what looks like a warbly 1990s camcorder — the date in the corner even claims that this was filmed in November 1992, though it probably was not. There is plenty of Fila product placement throughout, probably because Beats by Dre did not exist yet in 1992.

In The Dec 08, 2014 EDTJay Electronica Responds to Ferguson, Eric Garner Decisions
In light of the recent grand jury decisions in Ferguson, Missouri, and Staten Island not to indict two white police officers for the killings of two black men, protests have erupted across the United States and sporadically around the world. The issue of police brutality and mistreatment of minorities vs. whites by law enforcement is at the forefront of the nation's conscious.
While some commentators have steered the commentary toward black-on-black crime and the violence in poor urban neighborhoods, New Orleans native Jay Electronica wholeheartedly disagrees with this notion, saying among other things in a series of tweets that "We live in a criminal nation, founded by rapists, mass murderers and robbers. So don't tell me about 'black on black' crime."
