• CounterPoint Festival '15 Lineup: Kygo, Dillon Francis, Knife Party, Zedd, More

    Just when you thought the festival lineup announcements were over, CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival decides to make its announcement to try and get in on the action. Taking place in the grassy fields of Kingston Downs, Georgia, CounterPoint will host a wide variety of different EDM and jam band acts, with some curve balls from R&B and hip-hop included as well. Headlining the festival will be Zedd, The Roots, Kygo, Knife Party, Dillon Francis, Widespread Panic and Zeds Dead. Further lineup additions include RL Grime, Brodinski, Cherub, What So Not, Chet Faker, iLoveMakonnen, Lettuce, Thomas Jack, Gorgon City and others. The 2015 edition will move from April to May and take place May 22 to 24. The Georgia landscape plays host to two of the bookending dance music festivals during the summer season with TomorrowWorld arriving the last weekend of September just a short drive away in Chatahoochee Hills. 2015 looks to build on a lineup from 2014 that included OutKast on their festival world tour, Pretty Lights, Foster the People, Above & Beyond, A-Trak, Janelle Monae, Run the Jewels, Major Lazer, J. Out a day early on Spotify, "Firestone" featuring the 300-signed Australian singer Conrad, reinforces the faith in Kygo that he can help carry the torch for dance music into 2015.

    Dance music's new golden boy, Norwegian producer Kygo has previewed a new song on his Facebook. "Firestone" featuring 300-signed Australian singer Conrad will be released according to Dancing Astronaut on Dec. 2 exclusively via Spotify. The preview is included in a recap video for the last leg of his "Endless Summer" tour with sold out shows in New York City and Los Angeles, while having him discuss the making of the track, how his time on tour was and what he has coming up.

    There are few DJs / producers out there right now with the amount of hype as Kygo. His remixes on soundcloud have racked up millions of plays and have been championed by the likes of Diplo, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran. He took to his Facebook (via Dancing Astronaut) to show an all too short snippet of what an upcoming track would sound like.
