If at first the network believed it needed Williams at the helm to keep the network in the top spot, then it must be rethinking that theory because Lester Holt has not only held things down, but he also scored an increase in ratings at one point. He will return to the anchor seat tonight, March 3. -

NBC's Savannah Guthrie is going to be pulling double duty tonight, March 2. First the anchor was seen on the air for her usual 'Today' show stint and now the network has announced that she will be holding down the anchor desk tonight on 'NBC Nightly News.' This switch comes on the heels of us learning that not only is Lester Holt keeping the broadcast steady in the ratings, but the numbers have also seen an increase in the last week.
