    The media has been contemplating the fate of fallen NBC anchor, Brian Williams, ever since he was suspended back in February. At that time, Williams admitted to "misremembering" the details of a story that he had covered, by inserting himself into the story itself. Unfortunately for Williams, after a thorough investigation the network came to the conclusion that Williams had lied his way through various reports which made it impossible to justify bringing him back to anchor NBC Nightly News.

    Lester Holt continues to hold his own and hold back all of the competition in the evening news race. Holt has been sitting in on "NBC Nightly News" since disgraced anchor, Brian Williams, was officially suspended for the next six months. Last week, it was confirmed that former NBC chief, Andy Lack, was back in his former position in the hopes that he could whip the network back into shape. Williams is currently the subject of an internal investigation and he is also a good friend of Lack's. It looks like he's going to have to make a tough decision if Holt continues to win the ratings in key demographics.

If at first the network believed it needed Williams at the helm to keep the network in the top spot, then it must be rethinking that theory because Lester Holt has not only held things down, but he also scored an increase in ratings at one point. He will return to the anchor seat tonight, March 3.

Figuring out how to punish Williams might have been the easy task, revamping NBC Nightly News was a whole lot bigger. They decided to put Lester Holt into the anchor chair in place of their fallen star and thankfully, things are going well.
