Grimes is the latest artist to unveil their contribution to the upcoming, star-studded Suicide Squad Soundtrack. Her track "Medieval Warfare" was premiered today on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe as the station's world record and part of their continued tribute to the film's OST.

The song is twisted piece of hard rock, pop and electronic music. The searing guitar gives the track its rough edge on a bed of snare rolls and booming percussion. "Are you bad? / Are you ugly?" Grimes asks in the chorus, doing her best to get a role in the movie. "Can you kill a man with your hands? / Are you hard? Do you want me?"

In an interview after the premiere, Boucher spoke to Zane Lowe about creating the song and the process behind getting on the soundtrack. She admitted she was sobbing when they asked her to make a song for the movie because she was so excited.

Lowe, like many others, pegged Grimes as someone who would step into a new musical world and maybe score a film, but she dispels that idea, saying she has heard from other people who hated it and she probably would too.

The song was an old demo she had lying around and she just re-purposed it for the film to fit with what she imaged Harley Quinn and The Joker to be like.

The full Suicide Squad OST will be released on Friday, Aug. 5. The soundtrack features the likes of Skrillex, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Kehlani, Twenty One Pilots and many others. "Medieval Warfare" follows up "Standing In The Rain" with Action Bronson, Mark Ronson and Dan Auerbach, which was revealed yesterday. Fans can pre-order the OST on iTunes.
