In an effort by Bram van Sambeek to save the future of the bassoon in the orchestra, he has equated the declining popularity of the instrument to that of an animal going extinct. Van Sambeek calls his effort the "Save the Bassoon Fund."

    Last night New Jersey was treated to special night of hip-hop with J. Cole and Big Sean bringing their 2014 Forest Hills Drive joint tour with special guests YG, Jeremih and Bas, Cozz and Omen. Reports about the actual concert at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel were positive, but the night ended in violence for a few individuals outside of the venue. According to police reports, at least two people were shot after the show.
