• Live Nation Announces First Televised Music Awards Show Airing in October

    It seems like every Sunday night there is another awards show in music, film or gaming. This Sunday is the Billboard Music Awards, which will honor the artists who did the best in the Billboard charts. Now Live Nation is looking to congratulate itself and those who partake in its empire with an award show of its own, aptly titled the Live Nation Music Awards. Since Live Nation is focused on concerts, the award show will honor the best live music performances. It will air on both TNT and TBS on October 1.

Today, May 12, TomorrowWorld has unveiled its first headliner -- the voted number one DJ in the world, Hardwell.

  • SFX 2015 Q1 Revenue Soars Despite Rock In Rio Las Vegas Losses

    SFX has recently had a tough go of it financially. The dance music giant's stock price has fallen from its initial IPO of $13.00 to where it currently sits at $4.43. Things are starting to look a little better after the company spent the end of 2014 and beginning of 2015 tightening its belt, halting major acquisitions and reshuffling staff. Today, the company reported its 2015 quarter one financial results. Revenue for the first three months, ending on March 31, grew 56.6 percent to $52.2. million, with live revenue accounting for 77 percent of total revenue at $40.2 million. This was done despite expected losses from the start-up costs incurred by Rock In Rio Las Vegas, which adds up to approximately $4 or $5 million.
  • Walk The Moon Announce 'Talking Is Hard' 2015 U.S. Fall Tour

    One of the biggest stories in rock this year has been the meteoric rise of the Cincinnati four-piece band, Walk The Moon. The group released their second major label album, 'Talking Is Hard' in December and it has been nearly as big a hit as "Shut Up and Dance." Today, the group announced that they will be heading back out on the road this fall for another United States tour, titled the "Talking Is Hard" tour to hit some smaller markets that may not have been reached in their first few attempts.
