Back of The Billboards is a Music Times weekly segment that looks at the opposite end: the new record that finished closest to the back of the Billboard 200 for the previous week. We hope to give a fighting chance to the bands you haven't heard of. This week we look at hyphy hype-magnet E-40 and part two of his four-part 'Sharp On All Corners' series.

    Last night, the world bid adieu to Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report and the faux-conservative pundit we've all grown to know and love on Comedy Central over the last eight years. In one of the funny news show's final segments, celebrities of all sorts, including Michael Stipe, Willie Nelson, Cyndi Lauper and Randy Newman sang goodbye to Colbert with an emotional performance of "We'll Meet Again."

  • London Club Fabric Saved From Closure; Owners Appealing Terms

    Legendary London club, Fabric has been saved from closure after its license was put up for a snap renewal review in front of the local Islington Council. This was done at the request of local police who were becoming increasingly concerned at a recent spate of drug-related deaths and hospitalizations stemming from clubbers at the venue. Four people have died in the past three years. The council voted to renew the license, but only if the club agreed to several very stringent terms that include drug sniffing dogs and ID scans.

    Nicole Richie has been grabbing headlines because of her weight for the better part of a decade now. Her House of Harlow brand has helped to morph Richie into a solid and well-respected business woman that also juggles a young family. Unfortunately it seems like the media often gauges the real status of Richie's life on how skinny she is and the young mom may have handed them ammo with a photo that she posted.

    In case you didn't know, Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, is a solid football player. He's actually one of he top college prospects in the nation at wide receiver. ESPN jumped at the opportunity to document the whole process recently in a a new reality show 'Snoop & Son: A Dad's Dream,' Vibe notes. A trailer for the series dropped today (Dec. 19) and it doesn't look half bad.
  • 'RHONJ's' Teresa Giudice is Losing It, Believes Her Phones are Tapped by the Feds

    Teresa Giudice has only two short weeks of freedom left before she has to report to a prison camp in Connecticut and as the days wind down the fallen reality star is certainly struggling. We already told you that earlier this week the Feds actually raided the Giudice's mansion in New Jersey because they seem to be completely incapable of following the rules that the court has laid out for them. Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice still owe over $214K in restitution and they were required to submit a payment plan. When they neglected to do so federal agents moved in and took cash, valuables and even the kids Christmas presents to auction off in an attempt to settle the debt. Now we're hearing that Teresa believes the government is watching and listening in on everything that she says and does.

    Many artists are getting into the holiday spirit and Wale is joining the party. Taking a slightly different approach to the holiday season, Wale is calling up a familiar influence of his, the incredibly popular 90s sitcom Seinfeld. In a short teaser clip, Wale previews what is to be a new project dropping on Dec. 23 with Canadian DJ / producer A-Trak titled "Festivus." Wale does not give any hints at what the project is, if it might be a mixtape, a video or just a song, but either way, fans should expect new Wale music very soon.
