  • Soul Train Awards 2014: Chris Brown, Pharrell & Beyonce Lead Nominations

    The nominations for the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards have been announced. Today (Oct. 13), BET announced the nominees for the annual award show, which celebrates the best in black music and entertainment. Chris Brown leads the nominations with seven nods, thanks largely in part to his hit single "Loyal," which racked up four nominations on its own.

An Instagram post from The Prodigy reported that it has completed a collaboration with duo Sleaford Mods that will appear on its forthcoming album. The track is titled "Ibiza," after the international capital of electronic dance music...and a place where neither of these electronic acts is likely to enjoy visiting.

Last week Music Times reported that Last.fm had lost $3.4 million during 2013 but that's nothing in comparison to what Soundcloud managed to drop: The Berlin-based music cite lost $29.2 million during the 2013 business year according to the filings reports acquired by TechCrunch.
