Despite, as Consequence of Sound notes, the fact that Florida is where many festivals (save Ultra and Bear Creek) go to die, a new festival has sprung up called Big Guava Music Festival. The inaugural festival takes place May 2-4 in Tampa and with the lineup it is boasting, it might just get Florida back in the festival game. -

Joining them on the lineup are Spoon, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Local Natives, The Gaslight Anthem, Conor Oberst, Iron and Wine, Cage the Elephant, Portugal. the Man, Cold War Kids, Jenny Lewis, Dropkick Murphys, Iron and Wine, Dawes, Foals, Deer Tick, The Hold Steady, and Tokyo Police Club. -
