    Repucom's Celebrity DBI measures perceptions. Their expanded database features more than 5,000 celebrities, including athletes, film and TV stars, musical performers, business leaders, news pundits, personalities and more and what more than 1.5 billion people (approximately 30% of the world's adult population) thinks about them. With the Grammy Awards being this past Sunday, Repucom shared information about the top ranking musicians who got Grammy nods.

    The Musicians Hall of Fame inducted 12 new members at a ceremony yesterday in Nashville. Among the inductees are bluesman Buddy Guy, British rock guitarist Peter Frampton and pedal steel player and country singer Barbara Mandrell, according to Billboard.

    It is not Kanye's week. First he lost Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song at the Grammys and now he has to pay $250,000 settlement to a guy who called his fiancée a "ni***r-lover" and "stupid slut." West is known for his temper, especially around paparazzi, but come on. We're on his side this on this one.

  • 'Cop Car' writer Sam Hunt isn't happy about Keith Urban's Grammy performance

    Keith Urban's most recent single has gotten a lot of exposure recently. He performed that song (and got an additional solo from rocker Gary Clark Jr.) at The Grammys, and released a music video for the track on Monday. Not all the news is good however. One man took to the social media air to proclaim that Urban had stolen the song from him.

Either way, musicians that are already pretty popular from a musical perspective see huge increases in activity following The Grammys' broadcast, at least according to numbers released by Spotify.

    Chicago-based rockers Umphrey's McGee are famous for their live performances, full of light show and jamming. Now, the band has announced its eighth studio album, the follow up to 2011's Death By Stereo, and tells Rolling Stone that they are looking to break away from their improv-heavy live show in favor of a solid rock experience.
  • Grammys Executive Producer apologizes to Trent Reznor for cutting performance short

    As previously reported, Trent Reznor was pretty upset that the Grammy award organizers cut short his star-studded closing performance with Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, Lindsey Buckingham to air commercials from sponsors. He tweeted, "Music's biggest night...to be disrespected. A heartfelt F*** YOU guys."
