To commemorate the 45th anniversary of The Velvet Underground's sophomore album, White Light/White Heat, they are releasing a three-disc reissue, co-curated by the Lou Reed and John Cale. Today, they shared a previously unreleased live recording of "I'm Not A Young Man Anymore" from the Gymnasium in New York on April 30, 1967, which is rumored to have been the band's only performance of the song. -

Blur pulls out of Big Day Out via Facebook post, leaves fans and organizers baffled

As Music Times has reported during previous weeks, the electronic music promoter has been making frequent purchases and adding to its budding empire, including Made Event (the organizer of New York's Electric Zoo Festival) and Germany's i-Motion last week. This year's Nobel Peace Prize concert lineup has been announced which includes a variety of artists across genres including Jake Bugg, Mary J. Blige, Syrian musician Omar Souleyman, James Blunt, Swedish singer Zara Larsson, hip-hop duo Envy and Swedish rapper Timbuktu. Morrissey will headline the concert, and according to his Facebook page, he plans to perform three songs.
