English indie rock band The xx have issued a statement on Facebook explaining its disapproval of Croatian political organization U ime obitelji using the song "Intro" in an advertisement that speaks against same-sex marriage. The band did not agree for the organization to use the song, and now they are making it clear that the members are not affiliated. -

Brooklyn rockers The National have teamed up with Fox's comedy Bob's Burgers to create a video just in time for the gravy-filled holidays, "Sailors in Your Mouth." The Thanksgiving episode aired last week. Believe it or not the video isn't entirely funny. It has its moments, but it's actually just kind of trippy. It's bizarrely entrancing, as the band (in the form of gravy) spill out of the gravy boat, captained by frontman Matt Berninger. -

Since Thanksgiving in 1989 when George H. W. Bush was in office, a "presidential pardon" is given to one bird, allowing it to live. It does seem like a bizarre tradition, but for Morrissey, it's way more than that. -
