Blur pulls out of Big Day Out via Facebook post, leaves fans and organizers baffled
We knew a guy back in the day that broke up with his girlfriend via Facebook. Not even a message, just changed his relationship status and let her figure it out. We gave him crap for months on end, and it was well-deserved. Blur may be in for similar treatment from concert organizers and Australian fans after they pulled out of Auckland's Big Day Out Festival by posting a message on their own Facebook page. Essentially, concert organizers found out at the same time we did. -
Prince schedules three special shows on the east coast at Mohegan Sun
Prince always comes up with a new way to surprise fans with live performances, either by giving a certain city multiple shows in a row, or even announcing a performance the day of. This time, Prince has scheduled a trio of shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, according to Rolling Stone. -

Slow and surely wins the race. This isn't a mantra that Robert Sillerman and SFX Entertainment abide by. As Music Times has reported during previous weeks, the electronic music promoter has been making frequent purchases and adding to its budding empire, including Made Event (the organizer of New York's Electric Zoo Festival) and Germany's i-Motion last week. The biggest announcement came over the weekend when the company announced that it had purchased a 50 percent ownership stake in Rock in Rio, one of the world's largest music festivals. -
