Tori Kelly's Lead Single From New Album Was Inspired by Her Health Emergency

Last July, Tori Kelly suffered from a medical emergency which made headlines at the time. Now, she used that exact incident as an inspiration for the lead single "High Water."

What Happened to Tori Kelly?

Last year, Tori Kelly went out with friends in downtown Los Angeles. Later that evening, she reportedly complained that her heartbeat was beating too fast to the point that she fainted.

Her friends later drove and took her to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in West Hollywood instead of calling an ambulance. (via Page Six)

It was then later reported that doctors found blood clots in her legs and lungs.

A few months later, she spoke with Jennifer Hudson on her talk show to reveal that it was a scary experience, but luckily, her friends and family were there for her.
