Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are in - and the biggest names are there.

Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Oasis, Sinéad O'Connor, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane's Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, and A Tribe Called Quest are among the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2024.

The event will take place in Cleveland later this year, and the winners will be revealed in late April.

According to a statement from John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, "this remarkable list of Nominees reflects the diverse artists and music that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame honors and celebrates."

"These artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others who have followed in their footsteps, all while adhering to the true spirit of Rock & Roll."

Each nominee's debut album or single had to have been released in 1999 or earlier in order for them to be eligible for this year's vote.

Mariah Carey, Cher, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinéad O'Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, and Sade are ten of the fifteen nominees that are making their debut appearance on the list.

They were all qualified the previous year. A Tribe Called Quest is up for three nominations this time around, and Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, and Jane's Addiction are up for two. Over the years, a number of incredible reunion performances have been inspired by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Oasis is the most noteworthy option this year, but it's really unlikely given that Noel and Liam Gallagher are still acrimonious and preoccupied with their individual endeavors.

A Tribe Called Quest and Foreigner's surviving members will reunite, Ozzy Osbourne will give a rare live performance, and Dave Navarro will play with Jane's Addiction for the first time since Covid.

Remarkably, neither as a solo artist nor as half of Sonny and Cher, Cher has never received a nomination before.

"I'm not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!" she exclaimed to Kelly Clarkson in December 2023. "You know what? I wouldn't be in it now if they gave me a million dollars. I'm never gonna change my mind. I mean, they can just you-know-what themselves."

For the second year running, the event will be streamed live onDisney+, with or without Cher. ABC will air a modified special later that night, and the next day it will be accessible on Hulu.
