Lady Gaga Fortnite: Pop Star to Launch Virtual Concert Through Videogame — Details

Fans have been speculating a collaboration between Lady Gaga and Fortnite for years, and after half a decade, the musician finally confirmed a virtual concert happening this week; check out all the details below.

In October 2019, the musician took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a seemingly random post as she wrote, "What's fortnight."

Finally, five years later, the musician had an answer as she quote-retweeted her original post and shared a teaser photo of her collaboration. She captioned the new post: "*fortnite."

Gaga is set to headline the videogame festival this year and it will be on February 22, 2024.

As of this writing, details behind the collaboration have yet to be released, but based on the poster that the singer shared, the virtual concert will feature her "Chromatica" era because of its color palette and a logo in the bottom right.

Fortnite Festival History

According to Rolling Stone, Fortnite launched their Festival last year and their first headliner was The Weeknd.

At the time, his music became available in the game as well as a character skin that users could purchase and apply to their characters while playing the game.

Music has been a big part of Fortnite as there have been several artists who allowed their songs to be used in the game like Kendrick Lamar, and more. Some of Lady Gaga's tracks are also available in the game.

Even though the festival just launched in 2023, Fortnite already hosted several virtual concerts through their game, which included Travis Scott, Marshmello, and Ariana Grande.

Lady Gaga Fortnite Rumors

Rumors about Lady Gaga's collaboration with Fortnite began circulating back in 2022 after an audio clip of "Poker Face" was leaked on social media.

Charlie Intel reported in 2021 that leaks at the time suggested that Lady Gaga would be one of the next musicians to enter the virtual world of Fortnite after Ariana Grande.

It was noted by the outlet that a leak circulated featuring a female singer that could potentially be in the game soon and many users online suggest that it could be Lady Gaga.

In other updates about the singer, the musician had been teasing fans about her new album as she constantly shared photos of herself working on something in a recording studio.

However, she has yet to confirm a release date for her next project.
