Though Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks may have claimed that their break up last week was amicable, there's starting to be a war of words between the former couple. After Derulo claimed that Sparks desire to get married was a major factor in their split, the "Battlefield" singer is firing back.

In a recent street ambush from TMZ, Sparks commented on Derulo's remarks, and she seemed none too pleased about him spilling the details of their break up. "I really don't have a comment on anything that's been said. Everything is just that - it's just words," she said with a notably look of annoyance on her face.

Despite the recent split and the remarks from her "Wiggle" ex, Sparks is hopeful that one day she and Derulo can reunite as friends. "I hope so," she said at the prospect. "He's super busy; I know that he's got a tour coming up. I'm busy with movies and stuff. I just wish him nothing but the best. I want him to be successful."

Sparks was in noted good spirits, joking about keeping off of Tinder and perking up at the idea of her father bringing her some post-break up takeout food.

Sparks' mild shade at Derulo is the latest development in a series of revelation about the high profile couple's break up.

Derulo admitted that he broke things off with Sparks over the phone in an interview earlier this week and also stated that outside pressure to get hitched was a major factor in ending the three-year relationship.

And to think... this is all coming from the couple that brought us the ultimate swoon-worthy ballad "Marry Me."
