Another day, another DJ down with a sickness. Avicii has been in the news because he has had to take extended time off from touring due to lingering health concerns. Now Calvin Harris, on the eve of the MTV European Music Awards in his home country of Scotland, has to cancel his performance due to health concerns, according to Billboard.

MTV confirmed the news yesterday via its Facebook page, saying, "Hey #MTVEMA fans — we have some really sad news. Calvin Harris has taken ill and will not be able to perform at tomorrow's show. He sends his sincere apologies. Get well soon, Calvin!"

Harris did not confirm himself.

He is nominated for the best U.K./Ireland act and the best electronic act.

The record-breaking and highest-earning disc jockey in the world just released his latest artist album Motion, which is setting new records already. The 12-track LP, before it even hit stores, broke Billboard chart records, giving him the honor of having three tracks in the electronic/dance Top 10 charts at the same time. He is the only artist to ever complete that feat.

The album features big names like Big Sean, Gwen Stefani and a reunion with Ellie Goulding on "Outside," while also giving us a taste in the more high-energy EDM direction he is playing out in his DJ sets. This performance would have been great marketing and PR for the album on a global stage.

There is no word on how this sickness will affect further shows coming up. According to Harris's Facebook, he is playing his residency at Las Vegas super club Hakkasan Nov. 15 and will then join the Stereosonic tour at the beginning of December.

We will keep you posted on his health status.
