Everyone needs to calm down. Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey split in August, and rumors recently surfaced that the rapper has a diss track dedicated to his ex-wife on his next album. Cannon took to Twitter to silence those reports, assuring fans that there is nothing but love between the two, Billboard noted.

"I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey We are forever a family rooted in love," he wrote.

Cannon was addressing a comment made by producer Mally Mall to TMZ a few days ago. When asked if Cannon and Carey would have a duet on the new album, Mall said, "Nah, but he's talking about Mariah on the records. There's going to be a lot of controversy."

Mall added that Cannon has good and bad things to say about his ex on the album.

"I am always an open book but Personal matters are just that 'Personal.' So please respect my family and respect the process. In other words, all you vultures and bottom feeders searching for a story can go #ChokeYourself #Ncredible," Cannon added on Twitter.

Cannon's 2015 release will be the follow-up to this year's White People Party Music, the second album of his career and the first in 11 years. Despite having appearances by Pitbull, Future and Akon, the album was pretty much a yawn. His self-titled debut did much better in 2003.

The couple's divorce has been a strenuous process, and it took a toll on Carey earlier this month. The diva was scheduled to tape a performance of her 1994 hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You," but she was late due to a meeting with divorce lawyers. She instead sang the tune live, which opened her up to tons of criticism by people who are accustomed to hearing the flawless record version.
