The category of Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the 2015 Grammy Awards has Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX's "Fancy" going up against Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's "Bang Bang." Katy Perry and Juicy J's "Dark Horse" could play spoiler while Coldplay and A Great Big World/Christina Aguilera occupy the underdog spots.

Nominees

Coldplay - "A Sky Full of Stars"
Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX - "Fancy"
A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera - "Say Something"
Katy Perry featuring Juicy J - "Dark Horse"
Jessie J featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj - "Bang Bang"

WHO SHOULD WIN: A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera - "Say Something"

If you're going to write a killer pop ballad that burns slowly, then recruiting a veteran like Aguilera is a no-brainer. The diva doesn't overdo it on the track — it's more like she's just thankful to have been asked to be involved. However, her name no doubt helped propel the song to the top of the charts.

"Say Something" drove the New York duo's debut effort, Is There Anybody Out There? to number three on the Billboard 200 when it came out a year ago. It's not the sexiest song, but it's heartbreaking, and really one of the best pop ballads of the year, filling that void where Adele's "Someone Like You" resided for so long.

Props go out to Katy Perry as well for her club banger "Dark Horse." Getting a talent like Juicy J was a solid move for Perry, and the rapper definitely benefited from the union as well.

Coldplay is looking to put an end to their Grammy dry spell with "A Sky Full of Stars." Unfortunately, the boys will have to wait because "Sky" is nowhere near as strong as their last win, 2008's "Viva La Vida."

WHO WILL WIN: Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX - "Fancy"

Last year, Daft Punk took home this honor — along with many others — so if we're going by that formula, then "Bang Bang" will take it for 2014 because they have the most people involved on one track (remember, Daft Punk had Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers on their side). While "Bang Bang" and "Fancy" are equally catchy, it's the latter that will reign supreme.

Azalea had a huge year, and a lot of that was because of "Fancy." The Australian rapper's Best New Artist award is far from a lock with Sam Smith in the category, but Jessie J isn't sporting something like Smith's impressive In the Lonely Hour, so her mass appeal isn't as strong as Azalea's.
