Tony Bennett has confirmed that he'll be part of the entertainment during Lady Gaga's eventual wedding, proving that when it comes to planning your nuptials, it's about who you know and not what you know.

"They invited me to do it and, of course, I will," he told The New York Post this week.

The traditional pop vocalist and the more modern pop vocalist have made quite a pairing over the last few years so it's nice to see that the camaraderie goes beyond the lighted stage. Bennett found his way back to prominence with the release of Duets II during 2011 that—although more popular at the time for his song with Amy Winehouse, "Body and Soul"—also featured an excellent collaboration with Lady Gaga in the form of "The Lady Is A Tramp." That partnership inspired the pair to team up for a full album during 2014, for Cheek to Cheek, which topped the Billboard 200 (extending Bennett's record for being the oldest individual to land a no. 1 album) upon its release and won the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 2015 Grammy Awards.

Aside from the announcement, Bennett claimed not to know anything else about the forthcoming wedding, including dates and times (The Post reports that the event will take place at Gaga's home in Malibu at some point during 2015). "All I know is, knowing Lady Gaga, it will be fabulous," he said.

The pop star just got engaged earlier during 2015 to actor Taylor Kinney (of Chicago Fire fame), a fact that kept the reporters on the red carpet at the Academy Awards busy, versus asking Gaga about that night's performance tribute to The Sound of Music.
