Suge Knight and Derek Zoolander have something in common — they apparently can't turn left. According to new interview with Knight's lawyer Matthew Fletcher, the co-founder of Death Row Records is legally blind in his left eye and this is why he accelerated, hit and killed his friend, Terry Carter in January. As a result, explains the lawyer, Knight cannot turn left, making him not an ambiturner.

"How can he go left if he can't see?" Fletcher asked the New York Daily News. "This was a literal presentation of being blindsided. He was attacked on his blind side. To me it seems obvious. He's being punched in the face, he can't see."

The lawyer also reiterated the argument of self-defense, "If you are reasonably in fear for your life, with two or three men attacking you, you have the right not only to fight back but to pursue the person who put you in that peril," he told The News.

This new revelation comes a few days after the Terry Carter's family released the graphic footage of Knight speeding up and killing the man in a parking lot. The video showed that instead of pulling away and turning left, Suge drove straight, right into Carter.

It seems odd that he would wait until now to bring something as substantial as this up. Being legally blind in your left eye seems like something someone would have noticed a long time ago, or would have brought up in their proceedings, especially when dealing with a driving accident.

There is still plenty of trial to go and if today is any indication there will be plenty more interesting revelations in the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned for more updates.
