The Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey split may have disappointed fans rooting for their marriage but the America's Got Talent host relayed that Carey "will always be the love of my life."

E! News reported on the pair's outing on Easter Sunday with their twin children, Moroccan and Monroe. Cannon posted a re-posted photo from Carey to his Instagram account with caption:

"Repost by @MariahCarey Best Easter Sunday@BronxZoo Roc & Roe had a blast finding eggs all over the Zoo! #FestiveFamily #HappyEaster."

Cannon hasn't stopped there. In an interview on the The Meredith Vieira Show, Cannon admits:

"...It's one of those things, I'm a hopeless romantic too so I honestly believe, through this learning process you never say never. To me one thing I know that, that will always be the love of my life, always be my family, that's never going to change."

At another point in the interview, Vieira asked Cannon about his thoughts on the media coverage, particularly being the subject of a lot of media attention, through his split with Carey. Cannon expressed his disappointment with the media sharing facts that were not true.

"It's extremely disappointing when you see that people just want to perpuetate negativity when there's no negativity even involved. They want to make up stuff and create things. And you kind of get into that place where I understand--because I've always been the most open and honest person. But I understand kind of playing it close to the vest because when you start to feed into it and things--and there's so many falsisms and things where people just want to speculate, then you don't want to say anything at all."

Cannon also added his admiration for Carey who does a good job of not revealing to much to the media.
