Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters has plans to reissue his 1992 LP Amused to Death on July 24 — in conjunction with the release, an updated music video for "What God Wants, Part 1," featuring guitarist Jeff Beck jamming in a studio setting, has been unveiled.

The original video saw its debut in 1992 but as Amused to Death gets a reissued makeover, the video clip gets a visual update with a wide screen view, sharper black-and-white footage, boosted graphics and overall improved sound and imagery that embodies the album's anti-war and anti-technology premise.

"I'm remembering the record from [over] 20 years ago, that most of what I had to say then sadly still pertains today and is maybe even more relevant to our predicament as people in 2015 even than it was in 1992," Waters said in a statement.

Amused to Death's CD/Blue-ray reissue boasts a remastered stereo mix completed by James Guthrie, longtime Pink Floyd collaborator, as well as a 5.1 surround remix of the record on high-definition Blu-ray audio, notes Rolling Stone. The creative director of Waters' The Wall tour and impending concert film, Sean Evans, also revamped the original album artwork. The album will be pressed as a 200-gram 2 LP vinyl as well as a numbered and limited-edition 2LP picture disc version.

Although Waters makes it known that he has no interest in a Pink Floyd reunion, his own concert film version of The Wall is due out on Sept. 29, while a documentary on the late Syd Barrett is expected to see release later in 2015. The 71-year-old bassist will continue on to appear at the Newport Folk Festival to play a "very special" two-set performance while David Gilmour will release his solo LP Rattle That Lock on Sept. 18.
