It seems as though those six cancelled North American dates aren't all that Kelly Clarkson had to axe. In the midst or touring and promoting her new album Piece By Piece, the "Heartbeat Song" singer revealed that she's had to cancel her entire live legs in Canada and the U.K.

Clarkson made the tour cancellation announcement on her official website on Friday (Sept. 25), saying that her doctor instructed that she must stay on vocal rest for the rest of the year.

"I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible," Clarkson said in a statement.

Clarkson's exact vocal issue remains a mystery, though when she first announced her six scrapped North American dates, she emphasized her regret.
