It's been a while since the world heard new pop and dance music from Lady Gaga, but on Friday (Oct. 2), that all changed. For his spring/summer 2016 collection, fashion designer Tom Ford tapped the ARTPOP singer to help show off his new line with a cover of the classic Chic hit "I Want Your Love."

With a slew of models, Gaga helps to show off the latest Tom Ford collection by sashaying her stuff down the runway in a variety of little black dresses. She works the clothing just as well as the models, gyrating and looking stunning with her platinum blonde hair and eyebrows.

For the song itself, Gaga didn't take too many artistic liberties, keeping in line with the 1978 classic. The groovy basslines, jangling bells and sassy spirit ("That sh*t's so chic") all remain, but are now rebranded with Gaga's always dramatic vocals.

It's not confirmed whether or not this is the type of music Gaga will return to for her fifth studio album.

Gaga's makeover of "I Want Your Love" is the first dance song fans have heard from the Mother Monster in quite some time. In 2014, Gaga focused on releasing a jazz album with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek as she made herself over into a classically rooted artist. Gaga's last release also strayed from her dance-pop roots. Earlier this year, she released the anti-sexual assault song "Til It Happens To You," complete with a haunting music video for the film The Hunting Ground.
