A singer who never showed conservative taste when it comes to outfit choices or expressing herself through her music, Lady Gaga says that her role in American Horror Story: Hotel made her feel alive. As she arrived on scene for the premiere of the FX anthology series on Saturday night, the singer raved about her time spent on set with the brilliant and star-studded cast.

The Artpop singer detailed her experience of portraying hotel Cortez owner Countess Elizabeth, explaining that "It's been so fun." Gaga came to the premiere dressed in a high-slit red gown with fiancé Taylor Kinney on her arm, E! reports. "Everybody on this cast has been really open and available to me in a very honest way, so I'm able to be myself in a way I feel like I haven't been in a really long time, so they are just making me feel so alive," Gaga said as Billboard notes.

The "Poker Face" singer referred to the fifth season of the Emmy-winning series a masterpiece as she applauded co-creator Ryan Murphy. "I'm just really happy to be a part of it. I like being a part of someone else's vision it's really exhilarating," she noted. While bonding with her castmates over the last few months, Matt Bomer revealed that most of the AHS cast referred to her by her given name, Stefani Germanotta.

"It's sort of takes the mythos and all the preconceptions of Lady Gaga out of the equation so we can just relate to each other like human beings and actors in a scene," Bomer explained. "She's so approachable that she totally just was there for us ... at by the time the cameras were rolling and we were in a scene together, we weren't thinking about the fact that you were doing a scene with Lady Gaga."

Cast member Dennis O'Hare further detailed Gaga's bloody pool party, which included guests Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett. Aside from the blood-tinted pool, the singer supplied bathing suits for the cast and an abundance of food. Bomer even found himself sporting a women's bathing suit at one point. A half-naked bartender was also a part of the festivities as well as a birthday cake for Bassett.
