Rumors have been swirling for months as to if The Voice judges Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are dating or just friends. The two had previously both denied any romantic entanglement in the past, but when the pair were seen together at Adam Levine and Maroon 5's Halloween party in Studio City, California, the rumors reignited. It has now been confirmed that the two are dating.
E! Online claimed to have obtained exclusive footage and a source that confirms the rumors and in some photos the two were canoodling at the event. In the photos, Shelton was reportedly wearing a long, blonde rocker wig and headband with his hands on Stefani's shoulders and butt. A source also disclosed to E! that Shelton and Stefani had spent the majority of Halloween weekend together. The outlet has now confirmed that the two are officially dating.
Further according to the source, Shelton and Stefani party-hopped from George Clooney's Casamingos party on Friday night and later left Jared Leto's party together. The source also confirmed that the two became increasingly touchy as the night wore on shortly before the official dating announcement.
On the nature of their relationship the source said to E!, "They are definitely flirty on the set and you can see they have fun together. There is something going on between them and they have spent time together off set. They don't want to label anything or define it, they just really like each other and happen to be going through similar things in their lives." The source went on to say, "They want it to stay under the radar and not make it a big public thing because who knows what will happen."
This is a complete about face from last month when Stefani simply said, "Have you read the news?", in regards to being incessantly asked if she is dating her co-star, whom she affectionately refers to as "the cowboy" on the show. Another source had also earlier asserted that, "It's total bullsh*t. There's nothing there. They're nothing more than friends." But there is surely no doubt in anyone's mind now.
