The Voice really is just one big happy and supportive family. Following the news that the show's season 9 coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are dating in the wake of their divorces from Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale, they have big support from one of their own, Christina Aguilera.

In a new interview with the Associated Press, Aguilera spoke up about Shelton and Stefani's somewhat controversial new relationship, and told the two singers to brush off any the naysayers.

"They're both great people and divorce is rough. Let them have their happiness," Aguilera said. And, she would know about the hardships of divorce and fame. She split from her ex-husband Jordan Bratman in 2011.

"One thing I will say is I've been through divorce. Divorce is hard enough and then to be under a microscope and scrutinized and rumors. It's just a bunch of crap," she said.

Shelton and Stefani's new relationship has been a major source of tabloid fodder, with stories about Lambert's jealousies, Rossdale's infidelities and even pregnancy rumors. Despite all the news surrounding them, real or fake, Aguilera has simple advice for the couple: "Don't read it!" she said. "You don't need to fill your mind or give your energy to any of it. Keep it positive. Do what makes you happy. Do what makes your soul feel good."

Aguilera has worked with Shelton for four seasons on The Voice, and Stefani has served as her replacement for seasons 7 and 9. Aguilera will return to the show for its landmark 10th season next year.
