Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale's divorce earlier this year shocked the alt-rock world earlier this year, but if new reports are to be believed, the split was a longtime coming. Apparently, the Bush frontman had been cheating on his The Voice coach wife for three years with someone close to the family: their nanny.

Us Weekly claims to have tapped into a "family source" close to the Stefani-Rossdales, and said that Rossdale had been carrying on an affair with his children's nanny, Manny Mann, for years.

Though the adultery had been happening under Stefani's nose since 2012, including the time she was pregnant with the couple's third son Apollo, it took an unfortunate iCloud sync for Stefani to discover what had happened. Apparently, saucy text messages and photos between Rossdale and the family caregiver appeared up on a shared iPad.

"The iPad was linked to Gavin's phone. One of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen," a source told the gossip magazine.

Though Rossdale initially said the affair was only flirtatious, eventually Stefani unveiled the whole truth, leading her to leave her husband of 13 years.

The couple has three children, Kingston (9), Zuma (7) and Apollo (20 months).

Though the cheating scandal left Stefani "mortified, livid and embarrassed," the 46-year-old channeled all of her anger into new music, releasing the Rossdale-inspired single "Used to Love You" in the wake of their split. She has also moved on to greener pastures. Stefani is now dating her Voice co-star Blake Shelton.
