Blake Shelton doesn't just teach other singers how to perform on The Voice, the longtime coach also jams out on the show himself. On Monday night (Dec. 7) during the top nine semi-finals episode, everyone's favorite coaching cowboy turned the Voice stage in to a honkytonk with a joyful performance of his new single "Gonna."

Standing atop a wooden set with a backing band filled with fiddles and guitars, Shelton himself strapped on his acoustic guitar and smiled the entire performance through. And, while he performed the song, which is about finding a new love and settling down, you can't help but notice that he flashes more than a few adoring looks toward his new girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who can be seen nodding along to the country track.

"Gonna" is the latest single from Shelton's 2014 album Bringing Back the Sunshine. And, Shelton wasn't the only established artist to take the stage on The VoiceEllie Goulding was also on hand to perform "On My Mind."
