Meek Mill is having an extremely tough year between the feud with Drake (which most say he lost), his lawsuit and the abundance of criticism he's received from Nicki Minaj fans. However, it seems his troubles have only further with the announcement that the Philadelphia rapper may have to return to prison for violating his parole.

The decision is up to a Philadelphia court judge, who will determine whether his attendance of the event was a violation. Nicki Minaj has appeared at the court hearing to defend her boyfriend.
"He's not perfect but I can't believe how much he's changed," Minaj said of Mill during the hearing Thursday (Dec. 10), according The Associated Press.

Under Mill's parole stipulations, the rapper is not allowed to leave his hometown without permission from his parole officer. He apparently disobeyed these regulations when he attended American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 22.

Mill is on parole regarding gun and drug charges. Apparently, the Maybach Music member possessed illegal firearms and drugs in 2008, and spent eight months in prison and began his probation period on Nov. 1. According to Billboard, the rapper was arrested for illegally possessing a firearm at the age of 18. Mill reports having been beaten by police over the incident.

It is still unclear the exact amount of jail Mill would have to serve. In 2012, the rapper was sentenced to three to six months behind bars for another parole violation. Mill also served eight months in prison after being sentenced to 11 to 23.

However, things may not be going as badly for Mill as some would perceive. The rapper recent gave his girlfriend Nicki Minaj an enormous diamond ring for her 33rd birthday. Some have even postulated this was an engagement ring, though the rumor was quickly debunked.
