The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl broke his leg after he fell off stage during a show in Gothenberg, Sweden in June. After seeking immediate medical attention, the frontman was back onstage to perform for another two-and-a-half hours. Here's a look back at how the fighting Foo fared in 2015, before and after injury.

1. In May, the Foos appeared on the final Late Show With David Letterman to play the Letterman's favorite song: "Everlong."

 2. After Grohl broke his leg, the Foo Fighters canceled some European gigs, but rechristened their U.S. outing The Broken Leg Tour and pushed through the dates. Grohl even designed a customized chair for the event.

3. According to Consequence Of Sound, the Foo Fighters were inspired to perform in Cesena, Italy, after a video of 1,000 musicians performing "Learn to Fly," pleading for the band to play in the city went viral.

4. The Foo Fighters invited Lew Schon, Grohl's orthopedic surgeon, to sing The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" at Boston's Fenway Park. Schon said: "I think they were surprised that this dude in the bow tie could put it down, this kind of nerdy doctor guy."

5. Foo Fighters released the Saint Cecilia EP on Nov. 22, with the title track released as a free download the next day.

7. On December 1, Grohl turned up on an episode of ABC's The Muppets for a drum battle with the legendary Animal of Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem .
