Lady Gaga continued her endless award show appearances and performances at the Producers Guild Awards this weekend, but unlike her other seamless gigs, this one had an awkward twist. The pop singer was slated to deliver her Oscar-nominated song "Til It Happens to You" at the Producers Guild Awards, until she arrived on stage awkwardly late.

Saturday night's (Jan. 23) show threw actress America Ferrera quite the curve ball. Ferrara quickly noticed that Gaga wasn't in the building as she headed to the podium to introduce the American Horror Story actress and her performance of The Hunting Ground track. A lengthy video introduction to the documentary and emotional song took up a bulk of time but once that ended, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress was left to deal with the issue at hand.

"So, actually, she's not here. Yet. Um ... So I guess I'm singing the song. Yeah, no. But she's going to be here. They tell me imminently," Ferrera joked, trying to pass the time, according to USA Today.

The audience offered some nervous laughter and the seconds grew longer and longer waiting for the Artpop singer to jump on stage. The time gap continued for so long that Ferrera started to take questions from the audience.

"Any questions? ... Oh, she's here. As much as I wanted to sing that song. Please welcome The Lady."

Lady Gaga assumed the position on stage and slid right behind the piano. Although she kept a large room of star power waiting, her delivery of "Til It Happens to You" was well worth the awkwardness.
