It's been a while since the world had a live performance from Rihanna, but now that her new album ANTI is out in the world, she's returning to our television screens. On Wednesday (Feb. 3), the "Work" singer was announced as the latest performer at the 2016 BRIT Awards.

The BRITs confirmed that Rihanna will be making an appearance on its Twitter, adding her to an already-stacked lineup that includes James Bay, Little Mix, The Weeknd and Jess Glynne.

Despite being Barbados-born and big in America, Rihanna is a familiar presence at the BRITs, as The Guardian points out. She's performed three times before (in 2008, 2011 and 2012) and is a two-time winner for international female solo artist.

But her 2016 appearance will mark a new milestone for Rihanna: it will be her first performance since the release of ANTI. The album was released on Jan. 27 after months of delays and rewrites. The rollout of ANTI was bumpy up until the last minute, with a short leak on TIDAL just hours before its official release.

It's unconfirmed what song she will be performing, though she is currently leading the album with the Drake-assisted single "Work." Fans have also latched on to tracks such as "Kiss It Better" and "Consideration," featuring SZA.

The 2016 BRITs are set to take place on Feb. 24 at the O2 Arena in London.
